Solid Drawings
Continuing with the challenge, I have now keyed my character’s
positions, these are the key and the extreme positions so far. I have considered
the principle of solid drawing within these poses to ensure they are clear as
possible to the audience.
I created a locked camera to keep as reference for
the audience’s view. This way I know
which way the character is looking and where it should be posed.
I considered the silhouette of the character ensuring the pose
is clear to the audience of the character’s intent. I tried to keep the poses
diverse, that no two positions are identical; making every one of them unique.
In addition I considered the line of action in each of the
poses to make the poses natural and fluid.
This is a video of the poses so far.
I will continue work on this project, moving onto the passes
of the limbs, head, neck etc. Ensuring all of the passes are effective.
