March 2017
Continuing with the viral advert project, as a group we have
now filmed the necessary footage for the trailer. In preparation for the
filming I booked out a camera, tripod, lighting equipment, green screen and a
space to film in.
Because we had planned the shots we would film we used our
time effectively. Working as a team we effectively shot our separate shots
within the space.
We had trouble starting because of technical difficulties to
do with the camera; which we soon solved. We then had trouble with the green
screen as we did not have a structure to effectively support the blanket. This
caused large creases in the corners of the shot, this affects the effects which
would be applied later in the process.
---
My shots were of the actor’s shoulder, and of the actor’s
arm behind a green screen. These shots were taken according to the storyboard I
had planned before filming. As I anticipated problems during the post
production phase I took more shots than I needed. This way I've given myself
freedom in the future to edit the footage, and use the best.
Moving on from this stage, we will now take the shots into
Nuke to apply the effects.
